Cooper and Company was founded by Peter Cooper and brings under one name Cooper Capital Partners, Bluewater Management Company and Cooper & Stebbins.
We seek to invest in assets that are inherently scaleable and that justify long-term investment commitment. We select defendable opportunities that can achieve strong ongoing growth and sustainable returns over time.
Cooper and Company was founded by Peter Cooper in 1989.
The company has historically operated as Cooper Group Holdings, investing its capital through three entities:
Cooper Capital Partners, responsible for private and public equity investments;
Bluewater Management Company, manager of the Britomart and Mountain Landing developments in New Zealand; and
Cooper & Stebbins, developer of US real estate assets including Southlake Town Square in Texas.
In 2008 the various activities of the company were brought together under the name Cooper and Company. The shared name is to reflect the fact that while we operate in diverse areas, we are united by shared values and goals and draw on a common set of core skills.
Peter Cooper, a Californian-based New Zealander, is the founder and Executive Chairman of Cooper and Company.
